you could make a nice curved one from an exhaust pipe elbow and weld a couple of mounting tabs. It would not look as clunky as the electrical box. I think you could make one from a plastic abs elbow in the same manner.

As an aside your method is what i was alluding to up thread. That was a bold move cutting out the valance and you sure nailed the hole size. pat yourself on the back.
