Bolting manifold halves together

Of course all 3 bolts broke off when separating the most recent slant 6 manifold. This was despite soaking with kroil for a week, heating the outer ones red-hot with a torch, and apply wax as they cooled. I managed to drill the inner (center) one out perfectly, and one of the outer (corner) ones well enough that I think it will hold, but the other outer corner I got so off center that I couldn't tap it and I ended up drilling it out to 5/16 before I could pry the remains of the bolt out. I plan to just put a longer bolt through and put a nut on it. Does anyone see a problem with this? I can't see how it would hurt, but maybe with all the expansion and contraction on such a long bolt it will stretch and work loose? Can't use a nylock nut because of the heat, so will just put a split lockwasher on it (maybe one on each end?) and hope it suffices. Any thoughts?

By the way, thanks for the suggestion of the Walker Acousti/Seal exhaust dope. I tried some on a metal scrap and it never really set up, but just stayed like tar, but when I stuck two scraps together with it and baked it at 350 deg in the oven, it set up hard as a rock and didn't break even when I bent the metal. I think it's good stuff and will seal the very eroded surfaces around the heat riser gasket. I'll put it on my tail pipe joints to just because I have it. Maybe that will mean I don't have to tighten the exhaust clamps so much and squash the inner pipe excessively. Don't think I'll use it on the block gasket, though, because it looks like a real bugger to get off.
