I have a dump trailer with a similar unit. The trailer holds about 10 yards. I have hauled 5 or 6 yard loads of soil and dumped with no problems. I over loaded one time with about 8 yards and had to shovel about 1/3 of it out by hand before it would lift. It should do just fine for your needs.
