PS Pump - "Controlled flow" versus "Pump capa

Hi all,

I have a Vickers VTM27 pump. I found a manual and decoded the model number, but I don't understand the terminology. The model number specifies the "Pump Capacity = 1.5GPM" and the "Controlled Flow = 7.5 GPM".

Can anyone tell me what these numbers mean, and specifically in the end how much fluid can I move through my PS box/hydraulics?

The 7.5GPM seems like a high number for a PS pump, so I'm guessing 1.5GPM is more like it.

Any ideas?
