ok so i am a little grumpy.
one of my family members has a 2008 ford explorer (insert joke here).
anyway what started as transmission issues now seems to be electrical likely the throttle positioning sensor or maybe a "drive by wire" electric gas pedal.
here is the frustrating thing.... i made an appointment and dropped the POS! off Saturday at 8 am.........
never heard anything so i called Monday afternoon, 4 people later finally found some one who could even find the car!!!!! or my work order!!!
his answer. oh we have been too busy to look at it yet!!!!

i called them again today.
oh we drove it and put the scanner on it and it all looks fine.
ya i told you it is intermittent....hence it is likely electrical.
then he said we may want to put a new throttle body on it.
ya saw that one coming it is the default dealer move that every one on the internet had done which did nothing to help the car.
HOLY CRAP PEOPLE! don't you know how to troubleshoot anything!
he could not even tell me if that would include a new TPS sensor....
ERRRRRRRRRRRRRR! i think i will go get it and fix the damn thing myself.
