I have a 1946 Dodge 1/2 ton and after coming up to a "tee" intersection and then attempting to turn the corner found myself gong straight ahead!. Upon inspection I found that the pitman arm had sheared off at the ball. My advise would be to have it magnafluxed and checked for cracks.
