I converted my M-37 Dodge Power wagon to 12V, had the engine rebuilt with new commercial parts. Rods, pistons, timing chain,Etc.
I also used a civilian power wagon oil pump and centifical advance distributor, wires and civilian plugs.
What is the recommended timing setting for this kind of rebuild?
Book says 2 Deg ATC at idle,
I've heard the 5 degrees BTDC is proper and the civilian dodge 230 calls for "no more than 11 degrees at 1450 rpm."
Can some one clarify this?
