A week or so ago there was a fella with dead headlights and we all contributed our 2-cents as to how or where to start. Well, here's my story, fixed yesterday on a '49 flatfender. A week ago I was off to a truck meet and ran into fog, pulled the switch and no lights. Cowl lights OK and taillights OK. What the heck! So I tested the connection blocks at the fenders with the switch on-they're hot. Pulled the bulbs and checked the plugs-they' re hot. So why no lights? Both headlight buckets had gone ungrounded since I last used the truck, wether by rust or shaking. I just ran a pigtail wire from the grounding screw in the buckets along the original wire bundles and grounded it to the fender mounting bolts. Working good now.
