My electric brakes work forward & reverse (newer trailers, 31ft travel trailer & 18' flatbed). The nice part is the manual control in the cab... get a little adversity in the tow, reach down, and apply the brakes to the trailer only... smoothes out the handling real nice! I've stalled going up a really steep winding incline and damn glad I had the electric brakes holding me till I got the Burb started again. The trailer would have dragged me down without the brakes. The controller adjusts the braking and you adjust the controller (sensitivity), so I am not sure how/why electric brakes could get a bad rap. The adjustability makes it great for varying loads.
I don't think it's friendly to do the "read my lips" thing though, in any event, and after all, unless foolin (funnin) around most are friendly on this forum. Thanks!
