There was a mention made on the last forum in regard to the non-directional military tires being available.
I was wondering what the OA height of these tires mounted up? Excuse my nievety, but I assume the 9.00 has to do with rim width? If not, what does the 9.00 mean and what width rim do these tires need?
I'm actually wanting to go with as tall and reasonably narrow tire I can get on a 16.5 rim. I've been seeing alot of talk about the Michelin 38 x 11.00 military tires. I guess these are 38" in height? Again, is the 11.00 rim width or tread width? Can't remember what rim height they take.
What rim width of a 16.5 rim do I need to run a tire that has a overall height of 38 - 39"s. Remember, I wanting to go tall and skinny with aggressive tread.
Is there really any great advantage to go with a 16.5 rim over a 16"? I have about 4 various sets of 16" rims, but no 16.5's in stock.
Thanks in advance from this PW newbie!!
Larry
