So the last time I pulled the NP420 and replaced the clutch I had a spare input shaft hanging around that I used as a clutch alignment tool. That NP420 is now back together, and I'm not motivated to pull it apart just to use the input shaft as an alignment tool. So I looked around on the internet and at first nothing came up, but then I saw an ad for a company called "clutchtools.com". I wasn't very optimistic, but I did find a tool that appeared like it had 10 splines on a 1" shaft with a 3/4" pilot bushing. For ten bucks I clicked on the link. A few days later the CP10 Clutch alignment tool shows up in the mail. I head out to the garage to check it out, and sure enough it is perfect! So if anyone else likes to use a clutch alignment tool when bolting down the pressure plate, this looks like the ticket and it is inexpensive.
