I have to comment on this one. Anyone who would spray gas anywhere near a potential ignition source (spark) is crazy. No matter how careful they think they are being. The sprayer atomizes the gas, i.e. you have now mixed the air and fuel, and all that is needed is a small spark, even static electricity from your shirt, to set the whole thing off.
I have read so many stories about people using an accellerent (common word for gas in the news media so people do not hear the word gas) and ending up badly burned or burning down their house. They all say I was being very careful and only used a little.
I have some experience in the use and misuse of accellerants as an ex-US Forest Service fire fighter. Be careful it only takes one mistake and it may come after years of "careful" misuse.
