Unless you use detergent motor oil, I would forget flushing the engine. That has a tendency to loosen up junk that plugs oil holes. your probably beyond clearance specs on your main and rod bearings. Get some plastic gauage and check the clearance (.001 for rods) and (.002 for mains). Use some shim stock (.002/.004) to bring back into correct specs.
