Seems like an unnecessary complication to me. Either hook your nomally-closed kill switch in series with the ignition circuit or hook a normally-open kill switch in parallel with the points. No need for extra stuff under the dash, and no matter what goes wrong, turning off the regular ignition switch will still stop the truck.
