OT old tire size help needed. What is a TA-15?

I was looking up the tire size on a 1946 WD-15 for someone and the dealer book listed the tire size as TA-15. All the other models of truck listed tire sizes of 6.00 x 15 or other standard bias ply sizes. Anyone know what a TA-15 was? Is that a code I can use to figure out a standard bias ply size? It is a 5.5" wide by 15" rim.
