don't go to all of that trouble to fix the starter. sell me the woody and be rid of that troublsome rig. just kidding. (although i would buy it in a heartbeat) i think the guys are right about the starter being shorted out. any good starter repair shop could diagnose it. if it is bad have them do a heavy duty rewind/rebuild and have them wind it for 10 volts. it will make the starter crank faster & help in the winter. your truck is awesome. good luck
