Dave,
I have two civilian Power Wagons each on their second set of nondirectionals. Both trucks have 60 to 65 thousand original miles with about 1/2 of the tire tread left. These figures would tell me about 40,000 miles is the life expectancy. This is exactly the milage my '47 had on it when I replaced the original tires. They were pretty much bald in the centers.
The only problem with this theroy is: I am fairly certain both trucks were driven mainly on gravel roads.
Daily driving on paved roads...I will go out on a limb here and make a conservative guess...25 to 30 thousand?
Clint
