Master Brake Cylinder

I was looking at the old master brake cylinder from my FFPW last night; it's an original Mopar unit (marked DPCD). I notice that the filler cap is on the higher end away from the mounting bracket. On its replacement (from VPW), the filler is on the lower end next to the mounting bracket. Seems like having it on the higher end makes more sense. Is there a problem with switching it around on the new unit?
