24 to 12 in a m37 ????

how hard is it to swap a original m37 with 24 volt to 12 volts i just cant seam to get to like that 24 crap. my cucv is the same way. seems like if there is a problem it takes forever to find the problem.or should i leave it 24 . are there pros and cons
