Best way to remove/replace swedged pin?

I am rebuilding the pintle hitch for my WC53 and am trying to salvage this one. I can make new pins and a new roller... but what is the best method for removing and then replacing this swedged pin? I have half a mind to just milling a couple of notches in the ends of the new pin and then tacking it to the arm with a TIG and some RN60 Nickel/Monel rods.
