I looked in the archives, the photo of the parking brake is no longer there. Maybe, someone can post another one?
The whole idea of the setup is to allow the brake band to float and center away from the drum when the parking brake is disengaged. The brake band is not supposed to touch the drum, at least not with any force.
If you have all the parts in the right places, it's not hard to figure out. If you are missing pieces, you will need a photo or a diagram to figure out what you need.
