I've had some of my parts (e.g., the transfer case housing) glass beaded to clean them up. The parts have to be washed thoroughly to remove any residual grit; however, after washing and blowing off any moisture you get that orange-brown haze of flash rust. I'm using a good epoxy primer, so my question is whether the flash rust is anything to worry about. I've tried some phosphoric acid based rinses in the past, but I always worry about getting the surface neutralized afterward and sometimes they seem to leave a slightly sticky surface. Any suggestions?
