270 hemi in a 1952 B3PW

I came across a good deal on a 270 Super Red Ram. Would the bell housing and tranny bolt up to the hemi? Or would an adapter plate and spline change be required. I have heard from one source that it will bolt right up with a pilot bushing change and from another source that it would need an adapter. Any thoughts? Thank you. Tim
