had a breakdown this summer with the command. had to have it flat bedded home. prior to, had vapor lock issues. breakdown day, coil over heated, pertronix fried. got it home, changed to a coil with ballast, changed to a points dist, changed out exhaust and intake manifold because the heat flapper was stuck in the winter position. john bizal's kit fit perfect. installed a rebuild by bizal zenith 29 as mine leaked a little. replaced points and condenser to the premium ones from JB. had lots of problems getting it running today. turned out that the cap's carbon button was pushed up and stuck. also had to remove the second gasket between carb and manifold. torqued the manifolds, checked timing and points again. success. almost. it runs fine, has more power then before the breakdown. i get a a small studder when i press the accelerator down. also get a small pulse at idle, almost like a small lope... any thoughts to help smooth out these last two items???? was nice to take it out for a shakedown run...
