M37 vs WC51/52

Few questions.
1) is there any difference between the fuel tanks on the M37 and the WC series?
2) what about the muffler? WHat difference if any?
I have heard that there is a lot that is compatable with the two but not sure what exactly is. Would happen to be a publication that compares the two and what is interchanable would there?
