I was cruising one of the B&W homepages,
http://www.manbw.de/
and I found a reference to the world's largest diesel. This is a quote from their "milestones" section.
"1999 The worldwide largest Diesel engine 12 K98 MC-C with an output of 68640 kW has been sold"
Thats 68 million watts of power.
I noticed that a lot of the larger diesels are rated by kw instead of bhp probably due to the fact that most go into power generation plants. Anyone have the formula for converting kw to bhp?
Best Wishes
