When the cab insulators give up over time and the transmission cover begins to ride on the transmission, you get that hollow sound, so some as when you have a fracture in the casing. You need to look all around between the floor cover and the transmission cover to see if anything is touching. Also when you drive it, hold your hand on the tranny cover to feel any pounding on it.
You could also have bad bearings on the input and output. Check the oil level.
Not sure by what you mean by "clutch spinning a long time" unless you mean your clutch is dragging in which case, an adjustment needs to be made. Symptom is here is the truck feels like it wants to take off when put in gear.
You could have gummed oil on the spline transmission shaft where the clutch disk rides causing it to stick and slow down disengagement of the clutch. Good Luck!
