..is tricky because it depends on what you want out of your engine. A big carb makes the most power at WOT on a dyno but a smaller carb will give you better acceleration.
Edelbrock claims this is the best formula for street driven vehicles...multiply your cubic-inch displacement by the maximum rpm limit and then divide by 3,456 to represent the volumetric efficiency.
So a 230 that you want to be able to run to 3000rpm...they say you want a 200CFM carb.
