They're Frustrated

I think the reason the immigrations and customs officers at the airport have guns is to make them feel better about their jobs. There is no need for them to be armed, everybody they deal with has been thoroughly screened for weapons.

They act like they have some real power, but if you are a U.S. citizen, they can't keep you out. Just make your day miserable after you get off that 12 hour flight. Body cavity search anyone?
