I keep hearing about bad condesors from the parts stores failing very fast. stick with NOS on the points system if you go back. I dont mind points. if you set them correctly with a dwell meter they should last 30K easy. I have heard mixed reports over the years about the reliability of the available electronic systems. so probalby 6 of one half dozen of the other.... I think a high perf coil with good points works just as well as electronic.
