230 timing chain oiling tube

I am assembling my Dodge 230 flathead engine and have hit a small snag. I can not seem to be able to clean out the small tube which supplies oil to the timing chain. It seems to have some sort of nozzle at the end which prevents me from pushing a wire all the way through. Has anyone else experienced this? How can I clean this tube?
