For light driving under non adverse conditions, the paper filter is fine. But if you are driving and working in adverse dusty conditions, the oil bath filter is superior to clean the dirt and to not plug. The guy in Cheyenne has a point about winter driving. Being near Yellowstone, blowing snow and cold temperatures could contaminate the oil with water and the viscosity would thicken. Tom
