I cut myself short...They are the same. As also, the Winches IE: MU-2.....There may be some variations but I haven't seen them....I am not sure about the heavier winches as far as being the same size like the 10,000 lbs. ones but for the most part, they will interchange.
You have to consider that after WWII the parts for the WC's were still around so they used them in the Civilian model, The POWER WAGON, that everyone wanted coming home from the war. Plus some of the military models were exactly like the civ. PW . Like the Ambulances for example. Hope this helps
