Well, I ordered a steering box stabilizer from Big D Offroad. It is a bracket that bolts under the sway bar brackets and has a bearing support for the sector shaft (comes with a special nut that goes through the bearing). This almost eliminated all of my steering play and now it is no longer a white knuckle adventure driving to work. I found Big D on craigslist after considering spending $250 for an almost identical product from Jegs or Summit. There is still a bit of a spongy feel from the flex in the linkage for the Y style steering, but at least it doesnt thrown me out of my lane when I hit a bump or bridge approach. When it wears out I'll replace it with the "heavy duty" T style!!
I would recommend this one to anyone with the 94-02 experiencing the adrenaline rush of crappy steering! www.dodgeramsteeringstabilizer.com $120 includes shipping.
