Some reservoirs are at the pump and some are remote . The pump will have a can on it in either case . Imagine your unit with a hose connecting where your fill point is . This hose would connect to a remote reservoir . I have the unit from a 85 one ton . It is remote and has one return line . It is a ham can style at the pump but instead of a filler there is a remote hose connection .
The unit for my Cummins has no return lines and uses a remote reservoir - round can style .
The unit from the one ton has one return line - ham can style , may not fit the cummins .
I take it that your pump is lower than the hydroboost ? And it uses two return lines ?
