Engine Paint

I posted a message a short time ago wondering what colour paint to use on my 55 Fargo PW's engine and silver seems to be the correct choice.I have a problem ,all the engine paint that I can find in sliver is aluminum based and rubs off easily ( and looks bad ).
The local NAPA tells me that normal acrilic enamel will not last on an engine , it is not designed to withstand heat.
Any suggestions on what a I should look for.
