Actually I parted out a '49 1 ton 2WD that had the 3 speed syncro in it with a 4.3 rear end. The 4 speed spur gear crash box is a direct swap. I am in the process of upgrading my spur 4 speed to a NP 420. Email me if you want to know what is involved.
