I have plowed snow and driven in deep snow for about a mile off the road to get to our camp. I have always put the chains on the rear. I have other folks that do the same. Not saying your wrong but this is what I have done in the past. I think what ever works for you stick to it. Wish I needed tire chains right now. No snow here. Take Care Bill
