I have ORIGINAL 1947 plates that are clear and can be registered, and then I have ORIGINAL 1948 tabs to attach to the plate as the registration number. Basically the tab has a number engraved over the "48" that is used like the decals of today. All this is done under the YOM law. Or the Year of Manufacture law, that works for anything over, 25 years old I think
