Hi Doug,
How about partitioning off a smaller more managable space to heat and just move what you are working on into that space?
I heat my mechanic shop with propane (1056 sq. feet) and my woodshop with wood scrap (1408 sq. feet) My spray room is electric heat (384 sq feet) and the rest is unheated (1700 sq. feet)
