Beg to differ.All 203s were a full-time unit(which includes Furds and Chebies).They are a boat achore in my opinion(and others).I have had several 203s and 205s.Theres a heck of a difference in fuel mileage when compared.My buddy swore by them,but I proved him wrong a few times.There was a mag. article years ago that said 203s could get around a 100,ooo miles before a rebuild.205s were twice that.My opinion is a 203 is for lazy critters(LOL).Id rather lock my hubs in manually.My buddy said that he resurched the 203 and its supposed to be like a limited slip axle unit.Its supposed to lock the front in when the rear slips without it being locked in 4-high(low)?Never tried to find out.I had a couple that wouldnt stay locked in even after I adjusted the linkage(which is critical)to proper specs.I personally dis-like the full-timers,but thats my opinion?
