6 volt works, adj screw on back.

Like the starters, 6v horns work fine on 12v.

But all these old horns probably need to be 'tuned'. Take the back cover off, and clean the points inside. Reassemble, then jump it to 12v. Adjust the screw for max noise, and lock the nut.
