Doing the same work would require the same wattage, so less half the amps on double the volts. So a six volt component should only draw as much amps on 12 as a 12v component. Theoretically. I guess.?
But I never have figured out 'draw'. The water hose analogy doesn't ummm hold water for 'draw'.
But I suppose the flux field in a coil (horns and starters both have coils)makes higher resistance, limiting flow of ummm watts?
7th grade electricity shop class was nearly 50 years ago. And a lot of you youngsters didn't even have that.
