I have pulled apart a few 230s that had so many miles they were burning a quart every 100 miles, and the bearings were all evenly worn all the way into the copper levels of the shell. 1 and 6 did not show any more wear than 3 and 4. it's not a weak oil system. 55 psi is plenty. any engine gets old enough it will have crank issues. heard lots or rod knocking subarus with under 175K over theyears. massive smoking hondas still on the road today. ;/)
