Much of what you will need to do is determined by your engine and bell housing selection. The 360 is externally balanced. Chris gives you good advise. You should use a spacer between the flywheel and crank. You can change the flywheel ring to the required tooth count to match your starter. or you may be able to get a bendix for the starter to match the flywheel ring. I made a stater adapter for a the high speed starter , it ended up about 3/8 thick . The problem I had was the outside diameter of the starter bendix gear hit the bottom of the flywheel teeth I then cut the O.D> of the bendix to clear. That was 12 years ago.
