What's stopping me in this setup?

When installing a 360/NP435 into my '50, do I HAVE to use the poly flywheel (balanced for the 360) and old-style starter, or can I use the later 360 flywheel and a mini starter? Greg got me thinking. I'm dead-tired, and probably missing something. Why wouldn't this work?
