went to a motor rebuilder in Puntarenas today that also winches boats out of the estuary to repaint and rebuild if need be and lo and behold a 25 in. chrysler flat head runs the winches to pull em out of the water
had a cool fram twist on oil filter sitting where the stock one used to be
they fired it up for me---music to my ears
the owner was not in but will be back tommorrow and I wanna find out where he got the outside mount for the filter amoug other things
while i was there ran into a friend who is the capt on a fishing boat out of the Los Suenos Marina who is painting the bottom of his boat and he said he was talking to the owner of the boat yd. who was raving about the litle ole flattie
