After working on my '48 B1 for the past two years, I finally had the chance to take it out of the garage for a test drive over the weekend. What a great feeling to have it out of the garage and on the road! I do have one problem- backing up. When I put it in reverse and try to go backwards, the entire truck bucks. I've got the double cluth routine down pretty good for the forward gears, but backing up is a real problem. Do these trucks normally back up rougly like this or am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance for help.
