trans swap, wm300 trans to a WDX...

Are the bell housings and transfer cases the same from a wdx and wm300? I am thinking of swapping a syncronized transmission from a WM300 into my WDX. I think the shifter locat1on is forward of the earlier truck so I need to floor plate.
