Pretty common stuff, driveline braking.
It's a very efficient way to stop a 4x4.
It all just depends on weather you're building a rock crawler or restoring a powerwagon. There's lots of better forms of braking than what these came stock with. A crate motor GM 350 is also a better power plant though...you follow?
